To grow its personal growth learning platform, Mindtera raised East Ventures led funding
Mindtera, an Indonesian personal growth learning platform, has secured an unknown amount of money from East Ventures, a Southeast Asian and Japanese early-stage startup capital firm.
Angel investors, including Henry Hendrawan (executive board member of Traveloka), and Hustle Fund, a pre-seed and seed-stage VC located in Silicon Valley, were also present.
Mindtera intends to use the additional funding to expand the product’s capabilities, enhance the technical team, increase brand recognition, and expand its capacity to respond to market demands.
Mindtera, which was founded in 2021, offers tailored personal growth learning curriculums in important areas of life such as family, love, and work, allowing individuals to better navigate through life in an organised way.
The firm, which caters to both individuals and businesses, aims to address the gap between hard skills and emotional intelligence (EQ) by developing curriculums and tools based on its patented multiple-intelligence approach, which includes emotional, social, and physical intelligence.
EQ is twice as essential as other talents in achieving personal growth and well-being, according to the Harvard Business Review. EQ is claimed to have protected society from the COVID-19 pandemic’s uncertainty and unexpected shifts.
“As the first institutional VC-funded personal growth learning platform in Indonesia, we want to bring life-changing content to more corporates and people,” said Mindtera co-founder and CEO Tita Ardiati.
Bayu Bhaskoro, a 10-year senior creative professional with international advertising agencies such as Leo Burnett, Y&R, and JWT, partnered with Ardiati to start the business. Ardiati and her small team of 15 individuals work in product, engineering, life coaches, psychologists, and content production. Ardiati is a qualified life coach and a senior statistician with 14 years of experience.
“Tita deeply understands the issues that our mass young society is facing,” said Melisa Irene, partner at East Ventures. “We believe Mindtera will pave the way to change our societal understanding about holistic intelligence, and equip people with the right tools so they can achieve fulfillment in life.”
Coaches, educators, and psychologists say that Mindtera’s products have been scientifically and clinically verified. The firm intends to create communities in the future as a daily support system for its clientele.
