To support early-stage startups, Jungle Ventures launched program

First Cheque@Jungle, a customized program for partnering with seasoned operators at the idea, pre-seed, and seed stages, is being introduced by Singapore-based venture capital firm Jungle Ventures.
First Cheque@Jungle is based on two key concepts, according to the company, which are the focus on only a small number of exceptional teams with audacious ideas at any given time and a sizable first cheque with no minimum ownership requirements.
The program is only run by Jungle Partners with the greatest level of experience, with a strong emphasis on providing unmatched access to early-stage business building experience.
Together, the company’s operating experience in the region exceeds 200 years. It has collaborated with over 45 Founders in industries as diverse as consumer brands and platforms, business-to-business (B2B), and software, and it has generated more than $12 billion in enterprise value with more than $2.9 billion in follow-on capital.
Additionally, First Cheque@Jungle introduces a ground-breaking investment structure that guarantees the proper amount of early-stage capital to pursue big ideas while limiting early-stage dilution.
The company will invest a minimum of $2 million, split equally between equity and no-cap convertible notes.
The company has also agreed to lead or co-lead any additional Series A funding rounds, with investments ranging from $5 million to $10 million per company, without the need for additional funding from other investors (although we welcome the same).
“We don’t need anyone but the founders and us to validate if we are building something to last here and we will demonstrate it with our continued capital commitments,” Jungle Ventures said.
First Cheque@Jungle, according to the statement, invests from the idea to the seed stage across India and Southeast Asia. It is sector-agnostic.
More recently, the company has had the honor of working with Patrick Barnes, who is developing a set of connected, high-performance SaaS tools for e-commerce enablement with AMP, Achmed Alkatiri, who is establishing a house of lifestyle brands in Southeast Asia with HypeFast, and Tarun Katial, who is assisting in the development of CoTo, a platform for female creators and communities that is based on the Web 3.
