To support Saudi expansion, Simplex raised $13 M

As part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to support and localize advanced industries in the Kingdom, Simplex, a growing startup in the CNC machine manufacturing sector, has secured $13 million.

The money will be used by Simplex to establish a massive factory that will produce cutting-edge CNC machines. The facility will be situated on a 20,000 square meter plot of land in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

The National Industrial Development Center of Saudi Arabia and Simplex signed a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of Simplex’s first factory in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Along with a number of important officials from both sides, the announcement was made during a signing ceremony that was attended by Saudi Arabia’s Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Eng. Khalil ibn Salamah, and Simplex CNC Chairman, Eng. Ahmed Shaaban.

Commenting on this achievement, Eng. Ahmed Shaaban, Chairman of Simplex, said, “We are grateful for the significant support provided by the Saudi National Industrial Development Centre, which reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing the industrial sector and localising advanced technology. This factory represents a major step towards realising our vision of expanding in regional and global markets and increasing our exports of CNC machines.”

Shaaban added, “Although we have not yet finalised the target production capacity, we plan to start operating the factory in the first quarter of 2026. This project reflects our commitment to contributing to the development of the Saudi industrial sector, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.”

Simplex Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Mohamed Mansour emphasized that the opening of the new factory in Riyadh would be a major turning point in the company’s path to growth and a larger market share in international markets. Mansour stated, “We see Saudi Arabia as a promising market and a strategic hub for exporting our products to the region and the world. The new factory will enable us to meet the growing demand for CNC machines and enhance our presence in international markets.”

Mansour added, “Our vision is to become a key player in the global CNC machine manufacturing industry. This factory is a significant step towards achieving that vision. We are working on developing innovative products that meet the needs of customers in various industrial sectors, and we hope that this factory will contribute to enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a regional industrial centre and increasing its exports of advanced technological products.”

With the opening of the new factory in Riyadh, Simplex is demonstrating its support for Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to localize advanced industries and diversify the country’s economy. Through this project, the company supports non-oil exports, builds new job opportunities, and enhances the Kingdom’s industrial capabilities.

Simplex CNC was established as a startup with a focus on manufacturing CNC machines, which are extensively utilized in the manufacturing and process sectors. Offering cutting-edge technological solutions that satisfy clients in a range of industrial sectors sets the company apart. It has effectively established a solid reputation in both domestic and international markets, with Simplex machines being the go-to option for clients in over 50 industries and 21 nations.
