Traveltech startup Holidify merged with travel marketplace TripCrafters

Holidify, a company that plans travel, and TripCrafters, a travel marketplace in India, have announced their merger.

According to the agreement, Tripcrafters will join Holidify as a fully-owned subsidiary while continuing to run as an independent company with headquarters in Mumbai. TripCrafters will keep putting its emphasis on developing goods and services that assist travel agents in growing their businesses.

Before this agreement, TripCrafters and Holidify had been closely collaborating since 2016.

Holidify, a travel website founded in 2014 by Rohit Shroff and Kovid Kapoor, receives over 9 million visitors each month and features curated hotel listings from numerous online travel agencies worldwide.

Rajiv Kalra and Umang Dhanuka founded TripCrafters in 2011 to provide travellers with the ability to compare and book vacation packages from a variety of travel agencies and to do so by speaking directly with these agencies. According to the press release, the platform serves as a conduit between travellers and a network of over 3,000 destination-specific travel agents.

Interestingly, Holidify and TripCrafters both assert that they were profitable without outside funding. The combined company’s revenue run rate is currently around Rs 5 crore per year, but in the following year, it’s anticipated to surpass Rs 10 crore ARR.
