UCT GSB Solution Space’s e-Track program selected 15 startups for its upcoming phase

The fifteen startups chosen for the second round of this year’s e-Track program have been announced by the UCT GSB Solution Space and ayoba.

The University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business’s (UCT GSB) Solution Space manages the e-Track program, an early-stage venture acceleration and capacity-building program for high-impact entrepreneurs.

The e-Track program is funded by ayoba, a super-app designed to help users in Africa bridge the digital divide while speeding up the digitisation and expansion of small businesses.

The first phase is the Venture Launch program, which is appropriate for participants who have or want to develop both for-profit and non-profit scale-ups and focuses on validating the venture concept.

A UCT GSB certificate is awarded to everyone who completes phase one successfully, and they are all invited to pitch in phase two, where only 15 startups are chosen. A pitch day where ventures present to a room full of potential investors, venture capitalists, and capacity builders that could take the startup to even greater heights conclude phase two, which is intended to accelerate the development of the validated venture.

The businesses selected are the childcare platform Nestle Care and the employment service. Furniture company Timbaktuu Jobs Consumer app by Chabi Manufacturers Logsandtabs, a business platform powered by WhatsApp Easily accessible IoT-based wastewater solution Educator-focused startup AquiferIQ AI learning platform Alchemy and a mobile market Base2Lab, a mobile game development studio, delivers platform for Priventif. Fish farm with a stride and recirculation system Clement Foods, the tech platform Peritia for people with disabilities, BEAPCapital, a company that helps people celebrate their birthdays, Cela, and the AI and blockchain company Funti3r.

Over the next four months, learning resources will include portfolios for brand and corporate identities, IP strategies, legal counsel, business domain registration, finance and accounting, and product design and development (MVP).
