Undisclosed Pre-seed funding raised by Egyptian on-demand delivery startup Gooo Delivery
Gooo Delivery, an Egyptian on-demand delivery firm, has raised an undisclosed pre-seed fundraising round as it seeks to grow across Egypt and the Middle East.
Gooo, a point-to-point delivery business founded by Yasser Hassan in 2020, allows customers to get food, medication, and groceries in numerous Egyptian cities, including Cairo, Giza, and Tanta, using an app.
The firm is looking to extend its footprint in Egypt and the Middle East, and has acquired an unknown sum of pre-seed capital to do so. It will also put the money toward improving its technological skills and updating and developing its offerings.
“There is fierce competition in the domain of order delivery, yet we know that Gooo has more to offer than just food delivery, we deliver groceries, vegetables and much more,” said Yasser Hassan, the startup’s co-founder and CEO.
“Gooo has a great understanding of the local market, and that’s why our platform development is different. The success factors for the current stage are the development of our technical capabilities, team development and integration, to leverage more on the client trust we have gained so far and reach our target goals.”
