US $78 M secured by India’s ‘ed-infra’ startup Teachmint in Series B funding round

The round was co-led by Rocketship.vc and Vulcan Capital, with Goodwater Capital, Epiq Capital, and previous investors Learn Capital, CM Ventures, Lightspeed India, and Better Capital also participating.

Teachmint plans to quadruple its staff in the next six months in order to support its global expansion. Teachmint’s proprietary classroom technology will also be strengthened with some of the funds. It’s also looking to make a few strategic purchases to bolster its infrastructure portfolio.

Teachmint, which launched in 2020, provides end-to-end infrastructure for educators, from K-12 schools to after-school tutoring to universities and edutech companies. Teachers can provide live online lessons, assure ongoing student participation, and automate their admin operations using its classroom architecture. The firm claims to have over 10 million instructors and students from 5,000 cities throughout the world as users.
