Vietnam’s AI Hay secures $10 M Series A funding from Argor Capital

AI Hay, a knowledge discovery platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and based in Vietnam, announced that its $10 million Series A funding round, which was led by Southeast Asia-focused venture capital firm Argor Capital, had closed successfully.
According to a statement from AI Hay, the round also included participation from its current investors Square Peg, Northstar Ventures, AppWorks, and Phoenix Holdings, increasing the total amount of money raised for the business to over $18 million.
As AI Hay expands its mission to provide 100 million Vietnamese with hyperlocal, intelligent, and accessible AI tools, this round represents a significant milestone.
In order to ensure that AI Hay is more deeply incorporated into Vietnam’s daily digital life, the Series A funding will support the company’s growth into web-based experiences, ongoing product innovation across both education and entertainment use cases, and AI companions.
AI Hay, which combines generative AI technologies with social networking, redefines knowledge exploration. It was founded by veterans who created Vietnam’s top consumer platforms and a committed Vietnamese engineering team. Through extensive language models, carefully chosen local content, and a thriving peer and expert community, users can ask any question and get trustworthy, context-rich responses.
The company is more than just a knowledge engine; it creates meaningful conversations and connections by promoting engagement through dynamic themed communities, personalized discovery feeds, and interactive social features.
The group is dedicated to creating Vietnam’s leading consumer AI platform, providing millions of people with simple and reasonably priced AI solutions.
With more than 15 million downloads and more than 100 million questions asked and answered each month since its May 2024 launch, AI Hay has expanded quickly and is now a daily routine for millions of people.
The company’s leadership in consumer AI was further demonstrated when it was accepted as one of just three Southeast Asian startups into AWS’s Global Generative AI Cohort.
According to AI Hay, the company is in a unique position to shape how a country connects with information in the future, changing millions of lives one question at a time as Vietnam strives to become a leader in AI innovation.
“It has been a real privilege to witness AI Hay’s incredible journey over the past three years,
“From the outset, they were driven by a bold vision: to create a product that could meet the everyday needs of Vietnamese users,” said Piruze Sabuncu, Partner at Square Peg.
He claims that the company has witnessed quick developments in underlying technologies during that time, especially with the rise of large language models.
“Through it all, the founders and team at AI Hay have been unwaveringly tenacious, guided by a clear product vision and creativity,
“Today, their product is used by millions of users every day. We’re excited to see a homegrown champion emerging from this region, setting a powerful example for other founders that building world-class innovation right here is not just possible — it’s already happening,” he added.
