Vietnam’s PrimeData received undisclosed seed funding from VIISA

PrimeData, a customer data platform (CDP) located in Vietnam, has received seed investment from the Vietnam Innovative Startups Accelerator for an undisclosed amount (VIISA).

PrimeData, founded by Trieu (Charles) Nguyen, an industry veteran with over 15 years of experience in digital marketing and data science, assists organisations in collecting data, setting up user databases, and creating consumer segmentation in order to establish targeted sales tactics. Its products are aimed at a variety of industries, including merchants, real estate developers, and payment processors.

The startup also announced a strategic agreement with CleverTap, a SaaS business located in the United States. The additional financing and cooperation, according to PrimeData, would help it improve customer experience, strengthen management capability, and accelerate digital transformation for its Vietnamese clients.

The global CDP market was estimated to be worth US $1.2 billion in 2021. According to Fortune Business Insights, the market will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 25.4 percent from US $1.4 billion in 2022 to US $6.9 billion in 2029.

“VIISA believes that data is the common foundation for all digital transformations and we share the same vision with PrimeData to significantly accelerate business transformations progress in Vietnam and the region,” VIISA CEO Tran Huu Duc said in a statement.
