Visa application platform Atlys raised $12 M Series A funding from Elevation, Peak XV
Atlys, a platform for online visa applications, has raised $12 million in a Series A round that was co-led by Elevation Capital and Peak XV Partners (previously Sequoia Capital India). Existing investors Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), the musical duo Chainsmokers, South Park Commons, Pinterest Founders, and others also participated in the round.
According to a press release from the company, Atlys will use the money to hire new employees to grow the team and expand the platform’s product offerings for travelers.
Atlys has received a total of $17.25 million in funding as of this writing, including a $4.25 million seed round in 2021.
Atlys, a company founded in 2021 by Mohak Nahta, is developing a digital platform to expeditiously simplify visa-related processes. According to its website, Atlys has facilitated more than 120,000 visa applications for more than 150 destinations, with an average application time of just over 4 to 10 minutes.
According to Atlys, 99.2% of visas have so far arrived on time. Governments have collaborated to simplify the process of obtaining visas and lessen overstays.
Over 60% of nations have already adopted e-visas, and more have announced that they will do so in the near future. Atlys is at the forefront of this change and provides travelers from all over the world with a first-rate experience.
It aims to address other problems faced by international travelers, such as travel insurance, remittance, and credit for travel.
In competition with Atlys is Gurugram-based Visa2Fly, which has ties to SpiceJet, Ixigo, and numerous other travel agencies.
