Waveform Ventures, Accel Atoms led $1 M secured by dubbing platform Dubdub.ai
Waveform Ventures and Accel Atoms have contributed $1 million to the AI-powered dubbing platform Dubdub.ai.
The additional funding will assist the business in strengthening its technical staff and validating a number of use cases for international clients.
Other investors include Forward Slash Capital, Force Ventures, Aprameya Radhakrishna, the inventor of Koo, Nishant Mungali, the creator of Mindtickle, Deepak Anchala, the creator of Slintel, and Swati Mohan, formerly in charge of marketing at Netflix.
Anubhav Singh, Rahul Sankhwar, Rahul Garg, and Anchal Jaiswal founded Dubdub.ai in August 2021 to enable audio and video dubbing in more than 50 languages.
“We want to make the most of the growing demand for localized content by automating parts of the dubbing process with AI. With our end-to-end platform, content owners and studios can get results in weeks rather than months, so dubbing projects are completed faster. Further, it uses just a few minutes of the actors’ voices – making the dubbed version sound more authentic”, said Singh.
“As video content is increasing exponentially and becoming more pervasive to the pan Indian user base, we strongly believe that DubDub’s product will become the norm in building inclusive content in a scalable manner. With the team’s passion for the problem and their experience in building and commercializing AI-based solutions, we are also excited about the potential global impact of their product,” said Subrata Mitra, partner at Accel.
