Web3 firm Gomu raised $5 M from Coinbase Ventures
A US $5 million seed investment led by Coinbase Ventures has been concluded by Gomu, a Singapore-based NFT infrastructure company.
Spencer Yang, a former executive at Coinbase, co-founded Gomu, which offers companies developer tools and APIs for creating Web3-based wallets, applications, and services.
DeFiance Capital and Saison Capital took part in the round. Additionally, angel investors like Carylyne Chan, the previous CEO of CoinMarketCap, where Yang had previously held the vice president of growth position, joined the group.
NFT Hub and Collection.xyz are the two primary products that Gomu currently offers. While the latter is a system that enables NFT holders to construct a liquidity pool using their digital assets, the former serves as a white-labelled community centre and marketplace for NFT groups.
Other members of the Gomu team, including Yang, have previously worked at Coinbase, Binance, and Zendesk, among other cryptocurrency businesses. They have offices in Singapore and the US.
