Web3 gaming firm Kratos Studios secured $20 M from Accel, others
An Indian Web3 game company called Kratos Studios has secured roughly $20 million in startup money, valued at about $150 million. Prosus Ventures, Courtside Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, and Nazara were among the investors in the round, which was led by Accel.
Manish Agarwal, a former CEO of the gaming business Nazara, and Ishank Gupta, a former executive at international corporations including the Belgian brewing company Anheuser-Busch InBev, founded Kratos.
The new cash will be utilized to create Web3 game distribution channels in emerging regions.
Moreover, Kratos said that it has exchanged tokens for the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) IndiGG. The DAO will also make investments in the most exciting Web3 games available worldwide.
According to a press release, the co-founders of Kratos will collaborate closely with Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of the cryptocurrency company Polygon, and Gabby Dizon, co-founder of Yield Guild Games, to create the biggest gaming DAO in the world.
“We are providing 500 million gamers of India an opportunity to leverage their time and skill to become creators of digital goods on the blockchain for global games,” Agarwal added.
The IndiGG stack will collaborate with Southeast Asian gaming microcommunities as sub-DAOs in the IndiGG ecosystem to foster community growth for international Web3 games.
