Web3 gaming platform Eragon aims Philippine expansion
Eragon, a global platform for creating and distributing Web3 games with its headquarters in Vietnam, is aiming to enter the quickly expanding Philippine gaming market. It will concentrate on the play-to-earn (P2E) market, which provides rewards and enhances the player experience.
The YGG Play Summit in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, will feature Eragon’s games, a statement said on Friday.
Eragon was only introduced in August 2024, but since then, it has become the most popular Aptos gaming platform and is ranked 17th in the world in terms of unique active wallets (UAW).
The platform has facilitated over 50 million transactions, partnered with over 15 game developers, and has over 500,000 Web3 users, including 70,000 daily active players, setting it up for future growth in Southeast Asia.
Eragon, which has its registration in Singapore and its headquarters in Vietnam, sees the Philippines as a crucial market for its upcoming expansion. The nation is ideally positioned for growth due to its thriving gaming community and its rapid adoption of blockchain technology.
“With nearly 4,000 users in the Philippines, we see great potential to expand our reach in this vibrant market. The Filipino gaming community’s rapid adoption of Web3 technologies and strong community-centric culture aligns well with Eragon’s collaborative and rewards-driven ecosystem,” said Victor Thang, Chief Executive Officer of Eragon.
Eragon wants to create a vibrant gaming community as part of its expansion strategy by educating local players about Web3 and interacting with them through partnerships, events, and campaigns that are catered to their interests. Aptos Keyless Wallets and easy onboarding procedures are among the features the platform provides to make Web3 gaming more accessible.
Additionally, the company intends to work with local gaming influencers and developers to co-create content and broaden its ecosystem, as well as to incorporate language support and culturally relevant themes to better connect with Filipino gamers.
“The country’s digitally engaged and gaming-savvy population presents a unique opportunity for us to meet the growing demand for Web3 gaming solutions in Southeast Asia,” Thang added.
The platform is supported by well-known industry players, such as VNext, a software development company serving the Japanese and other Asian markets; Aptos, a top Layer 1 blockchain; and SotaTek, a state-of-the-art supplier of IT solutions.
In addition to two on-chain games, Tap Battle and Island Conqueror, Eragon has released eight instant games. These games’ captivating player-versus-player (PvP) modes and lucrative seasonal pools in $APT and $EGON have increased on-chain transactions and user engagement.
Upon creating an account, new users are rewarded with pre-minted $EGON tokens (pEGON). Players can engage in gameplay that yields actual $APT and $EGON rewards with the help of these tokens, which also improve the overall gaming experience.
Furthermore, Eragon has had great success with its Referral Program, drawing thousands of players, influencers, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to the site. The program has increased participation and created a lively community around the project, offering rewards of up to $30,000.
The platform’s dedication to empowering developers, gamers, and investors with state-of-the-art tools and platforms is reflected in Eragon’s deliberate shift from a B2C-focused strategy to a B2B-driven model. The foundation of Eragon’s B2B strategy is the Developer Portal, Marketplace, and Eraverse that it has introduced.
