Wipro to acquire Olam’s Mindsprint for $291 M, seals $1 Bn deal

Mindsprint, the technology division of Singapore’s agribusiness Olam Group, will be purchased by India’s AI-powered technology company Wipro for S$375 million ($291 million) in cash as part of a larger strategic alliance that also includes a long-term digital transformation agreement worth more than $1 billion.
Both Wipro and Olam Group said in separate statements on Monday that the acquisition is anticipated to be finished by the end of June 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Mindsprint’s current leadership team will continue to oversee operations after the deal, making it a fully owned subsidiary of Wipro.
In addition to the acquisition, Olam Group awarded Wipro an eight-year transformation contract with a committed yearly expenditure of about $100 million for eight years, or $800 million. It is anticipated that the total engagement value will surpass $1 billion.
In accordance with the agreement, Wipro will offer consulting-led, AI-driven end-to-end transformation services. With an emphasis on increasing productivity and resilience, the work encompasses Olam’s “farm-to-fork” value chain, which includes farming, manufacturing, forecasting, trading, supply chain operations, and customer engagement.
The sale, according to Olam Group, is a component of the company’s ongoing reorganization strategy, which aims to simplify its portfolio, concentrate on its core business, and gradually increase shareholder value.
With more than 3,200 professionals working mostly in India, Mindsprint has been a crucial technology partner in Olam’s digital transformation projects. The business provides supply chain, digital, and cybersecurity solutions to a variety of industries, including manufacturing, food and agriculture, retail, and healthcare.
