WizCommerce raises $8 M Series A funding from Peak XV

Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia India) led a $8 million Series A funding round for WizCommerce, an AI-native sales and e-commerce platform for wholesale distributors, with Blume Ventures, Z47, and Alpha Wave also participating.

The new funding will help the company expand in the United States and speed up the creation of its AI-powered platform for business-to-business financing, sales, and commerce.

Divyaanshu Makkar, a former employee of Besser Venture Partners and EY-Parthenon, and Vikas Garg, a former employee of Zomato, founded WizCommerce, which uses a subscription-based, transaction-driven business model. While the company also makes money from value-added services and transaction facilitation, distributors pay for access to its AI-powered tools that cover quoting, storefronts, ERP integrations, catalog management, and payments.

While coordinating growth with customer sales volumes, this dual model guarantees recurring revenue from subscriptions.

Over 700 sales representatives and 300,000 buyers use the platform, which already processes over $100 million in GMV annually across categories like general merchandise, lighting, and home décor. With this fundraising, it also intends to bolster GTM initiatives, grow into related verticals, and further scale its AI stack.

Additionally, WizCommerce, which has hubs in the US and India, is actively hiring for positions in engineering, AI, product, and GTM.
