Workforce mobility platform Kovon raises $250K Pre-seed funding from TDV Partners

TDV Partners led a $250K pre-seed funding round for Kovon, a cross-border workforce mobility platform.
The money raised will go toward developing new products, partnering with international employers, hiring new employees, and growing its ecosystem for training and skill development. Additionally, it intends to hire in partnerships, operations, and technology.
The startup, which was founded by Bibartan Roy and Swayamjeet Das, links blue-collar and grey-collar workers in India with jobs abroad in industries like logistics, healthcare, hospitality, and construction.
Kovon provides a comprehensive platform that addresses placement, financing, upskilling, job search, and post-deployment assistance.
The startup intends to provide structured overseas opportunities for Indian workers while addressing labor shortages in markets like Europe, the UK, the Middle East, and other developed economies.
The company’s main goal is to create verified and employable talent pipelines from India for companies around the world.
