YC-backed Pivot Robots raised undisclosed funding from NuVentures

Early-stage investor NuVentures has contributed an undisclosed sum of money to AI startup Pivot Robots.

The company belonged to the 2024 class of Y Combinator.

Siddharth Girdhar and Vignesh Rajmohan founded Pivot Robots in 2023 with the goal of enabling automation in the manufacturing industry through artificial intelligence. Previously, the dou had collaborated with robotics and AI teams at Meta, Google, and Uber.

“We are excited to partner with NuVentures because they provide us with support in finding customers and talent across both US and India, which are both manufacturing hubs,” said Girdhar.

Pivot Robots is a startup that aims to address the labor shortage in US manufacturing by automating industrial robots with AI vision control software. The company’s first product is intended to help with metal part grinding.

The startup’s AI vision control software allows industrial robots to adapt, which puts its technology far ahead of traditional robotic automation.

Among its more than 40 portfolio companies are startups like PocketAces, Foxtale, Geist Beer, and Third Wave. NuVentures was one of the first investors in companies like Mu Sigma and Acko.
