2025 Anzisha Prize accepting applications from young African entrepreneurs

The 2025 Anzisha Prize, which grants access to advantages, services, and prize money, is now accepting applications from young African business owners.

In order to boost the number of job-generating entrepreneurs in Africa, the African Leadership Academy, in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, administers the Anzisha Prize.

For a multi-year fellowship experience, 35 outstanding entrepreneurs between the ages of 15 and 22 will be chosen. Fellows will receive resources to help them grow and scale their businesses, business coaching, and experiential learning.

Benefits and services like short courses, cloud services, and cash stipends are given to companies that exhibit exceptional growth and initiative. Entrepreneurs will present their companies and accomplishments at the conclusion of the second year in an attempt to win a portion of the US $50,000 in prizes.

Job creation, revenue growth, storytelling, and system and process integration are the four categories into which the grand prizes are divided. The fellows will graduate from the fellowship and become part of the esteemed Anzisha Prize alumni network.

The Anzisha Prize is giving green entrepreneurs extra attention this year.  “We are looking for passionate individuals who are tackling environmental challenges with innovative and sustainable business solutions,” said Didi Onwu, managing editor of the Anzisha Prize.

Applications are open here until November 8.
