$1.7 M Seed funding raised by Web3 fitness app Gritti

A seed fundraising round headed by Lingfeng Innovation Fund and including Youbi Capital, Bixin Ventures, Orderly Network, Stratified Capital, and CDI secured US $1.7 million for the Singapore-based Web3 fitness app Gritti.

The move-to-earn app Gritti encourages users to be active and lead healthy lives. Currently, under limited beta testing, the blockchain-based software is anticipated to transition to an open beta version later this year.

Gritti was started early this year by Joe Hung, as well as executives with the names simply Feng, Wilson, Lohas, and Ted. In a statement, the company claimed that its team had previously created one of the most popular running applications worldwide, boasting more than 100 million active users and 45,000 communities.

Horst Bente, the creator of the Adi Dassler Legacy Platform, Jared Johnson, a former general manager of EA Sports China, Bryant Chou, a former CEO of Vice China, Umar, a former head of investment banking at HSBC London, Sami Moughrabie, a managing partner of Atmos Ventures, are among the startup’s advisors.

The additional funds will be used by Gritti to develop a Web2 to Web3 conversion channel. Additionally, 2,000 pairs of NFT sneakers will shortly be released.
