10 startups to receive $1 M from ScaleUp Malaysia’s 2022 cohort

Each of the 10 businesses in ScaleUp Malaysia’s 2022 cohort will get a US $100,000 investment.

Startups that are currently making money can apply for the program in Malaysia, Southeast Asia, and beyond. Having a “strong” product value proposition, a sizeable market, and a “compelling” go-to-market strategy are requirements, according to ScaleUp Malaysia.

A one-month investor readiness Bootcamp and access to venture capital networks are both included in the program, which launches in the fourth quarter of this year. A two-year support period from an outside management team is also included in the program.

Following submission, candidates will learn within five weeks if they have been accepted into the program.

“We recognize that this is a very precarious time for founders with so much uncertainty with the economic situation in the region and around the world,” said ScaleUp Malaysia managing partner Andre Sequerah. “This is why we have streamlined our process to make sure that exceptional startups get funded quickly so they hit the ground running and scale effectively.”

The 11 participants in the company’s last cohort, which included entrepreneurs from 26 different countries, got US $60,000 in investment.
