$3.5 M Seed funding secured by Bluelearn from Elevation Capital

A seed round sponsored by Elevation Capital and Lightspeed secured US $3.5 million for Bluelearn, an Indian social learning firm. The founders of Meesho, Vidit Aatrey, and Sanjeev Barnwal, among others, participated in the round, as did Titan Capital and 2am VC.

The startup intends to utilize the money to increase the number of community users by 10 times in one year. In a statement, it claimed that its app currently has more than 150,000 users from more than 5,500 universities and companies worldwide.

Harish Uthayakumar and Shreyans Sancheti founded Bluelearn in 2021 as a Telegram channel where students could exchange advice on typical issues.

The team currently organizes events for students and early-career working people, including AMAs (ask me anything) with entrepreneurs, gaming competitions, concerts, and hackathons. Members are matched with employers eager to recruit talent through Bluelearn Work, its platform for internships and freelancing.

“We envision that Bluelearn will be the social learning destination for networking, upskilling, and discovering the first employment opportunity for Gen Z,” says Amit Aggarwal, principal at Elevation Capital.
