$420K funding received by Tunisian fintech startup My Easy Transfer to accelerate development
My Easy Transfer, a Tunisian fintech startup that enables safe money transfers between diaspora members, has raised EUR400,000 (US $420,000) in funding to help accelerate its development and broaden its product offering.
My Easy Transfer is a remittance platform that connects Tunisia and Europe, founded in March 2022 by brothers Ismaïl and Jabrane Khenissi. To date, the platform has 10,000 customers.
The startup will use the EUR400,000 (US $420,000) funding from venture capital firm 216 Capital to develop its platform so that it can handle all the diaspora’s payment needs—including money transfers, sending mobile top-ups, and local bill payments—in a single mobile application.
Along with expanding into new African markets like Morocco, Mali, and Senegal, My Easy Transfer also intends to change its business model to become the first payment super app for the diaspora, fortifying its position in Tunisia through new alliances.
“We want to offer every Tunisian living abroad the possibility of managing all their financial transactions to Tunisia from their smartphone with our platform,” said Ismail Khenissi.
“My Easy Transfer represents immense potential, capable of transforming the financial transfer landscape and offering faster and more economical solutions for users,” said Dhekra Khelifi, partner at 216 Capital.
