$7 M Series A funding raised by conversational commerce platform Respond.io
Conversational commerce platform Respond.io, located in Malaysia, has secured $7 million in a series A round-headed by Headline, with participation from AltaIR Capital.
Respond.io consolidates communications from emails, chat applications, and web communication platforms into a single dashboard, facilitating more effective client communication. This is particularly important in Asia, where users often prefer personalized messaging delivered through these channels over those in Western markets.
The company claimed that over 10,000 firms utilize its services across 86 countries, processing more communications than its three biggest rivals put together. ShareChat, Decathlon, Klook, Yoho, Abenson, and Roche are a few of its customers.
Respond.io also mentioned a 25x increase in income since its last fundraising round in 2020.
The fresh money will be used by the firm to go into West Asia, Latin America, and Europe. It also seeks to increase the scope of its integration capabilities.
Gerardo Salandra, a former employee of Google and IBM, launched the business in 2017.
