Startup interview with Kartik Swaminathan, Fitastech

3F: Future Fintech Framework, enable your mind to innovative ideas and learn how to be prepared for future opportunities in the Fintech and digital space

During an interview Kartik Swaminathan spoke about his consulting venture Fintastech which aims at leading digital innovation as well as a book Kartik Swaminathan has written which is called 3F Future Fintech Framework. The book gives a great insight especially for entrepreneurial minds who will be motivated to create products and bring solutions in the digital world.

INCUBEES: Tell us about your product or services?

Kartik Swaminathan: Fintastech (www.fintastech.in) is my consulting initiative in the Fintech Space, with Focus on Product and Go To Market (GTM). I have recently authored a book called 3F: Future Fintech Framework, where I have leveraged over 20+yrs of my experience to offer interesting insights and propose a futuristic framework for growth and innovation in Fintech & Digital space. So, consulting and training based on my book are my products and services.

INCUBEES: What makes your product/services unique and what competition do you see in India and globally?

Kartik Swaminathan: Consulting is all about a different perspective, unique insights & solutions. This coupled with the fact that I bring cross functional expertise across Business, Products, Tech & Processes, enables me to deliver with a high degree of success.

In a knowledge driven industry like consulting competition is welcome and helps the overall industry. Besides, being an Individual driven consultancy, there is always scope for creating a niche for yourself as the segment is growing.

INCUBEES: What are the challenges you see in the market at this point in time?

Kartik Swaminathan: The recent second wave of pandemic has had some impact on economic activity. Things will pick up gradually, as all get vaccinated over next 2 quarters. However, fundamentally India has all the right demographic and economic indicators. So, it will grow at higher rates. We will see rise in FinTech’s, as they will be key to empower the new economy in a more effective and efficient way. So, opportunity is big and challenge temporary.

INCUBEES: Tell us about your team and what inspires them?

Kartik Swaminathan: I do individual consulting and I am inspired by the challenge to learn, interact with different stakeholders, and manage a product, project or processes successfully.

I have captured all my understanding and learnings, as insights and framework in my book. Am sure as young students and professionals read the same, they will get an interesting perspective that will inspire them to create wonderful products and solutions in the digital space and succeed in their careers. So, inspiring others is also what inspires me.

INCUBEES: Where do you see your product/service reaching in the next five years?

Kartik Swaminathan: I am selective in my consulting and the aim is to have at least 3 successful GTM’s for unique solutions in the Fintech space.

My other focus is to have training / workshops based on my book 3F: Future Fintech Framework, for young students and professionals. This will enable them with a mindset to innovate and be prepared for future opportunities in Fintech & Digital space.

INCUBEES: Do you have plans to raise funding to grow your business or allow your business to organically grow?

Kartik Swaminathan: My aim is to grow organically. Funding can be an option, if you want to rapidly scaleup after reaching a stage.

INCUBEES: What are the challenges you face as a startup?

Kartik Swaminathan: Startups face all forms of challenge be it business, finances, scaling up, people etc. Some challenge or other is always there. Only thing is to keep moving and focus on some progressive learning and growth. You need both passion & objectivity to handle challenges and make suitable adjustments and again move ahead.

Also, as consultants we see challenge as opportunity. So, when last year around (Apr 2020) the Pandemic struck, I decided to accelerate and focussed effort on my book, learning and attending online events / seminars etc.
