In a Series D round led by Franklin Templeton and Temasek, Blaize raised US $71 million

Blaize, a US-based supplier of edge and automotive AI computing solutions, announced the close of its US $71 million Series D funding round.

Franklin Templeton and Temasek were the lead investors. DENSO, as well as other new and current investors, took part.

The funds will be utilised to expedite the company’s product pipeline by rapidly expanding Blaize’s India plant in Hyderabad over the next 12 to 18 months.

Blaize, a disruptive edge AI computing company founded in 2010, caters to the automotive, mobility, smart retail, security, industrial, and metro market sectors, satisfying the rising demand for better performance, lower power, and lower cost AI hardware as well as transformative AI software solutions in these industries.

As the business started and created a multi-year pipeline for its first-generation AI edge computing hardware and software solutions in 2020, it also realises customer prospects in the United States, Europe, Japan, and Asia.

Blaize has already secured a total of US $87 million in equity funding from a variety of strategic and venture investors, including DENSO, Daimler, SPARX Group, Magna, Samsung Catalyst Fund, Temasek, GGV Capital, Wavemaker, and SGInnovate, prior to the Series D.
