Ola aiming for market domination with a $2 billion GMV in a year
Ola, India’s largest mobility platform, aims to hire 10,000 additional employees in the next 12 months as it strives for industry leaders with a $2 billion gross market value for its car commerce platform Ola Cars.
Ola Automobiles has already sold 5,000 used cars in its first full month of operation, the fastest growth rate for a new entry in this category.
Ola Cars has launched pre-owned vehicle sales across Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad, right in the thick of the Christmas season.
By the end of this week, the firm aims to expand its operations to Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Indore, all through the Ola app, in order to give consumers a reinvented vehicle commerce experience.
Ola Cars will be operating in 30 locations in the next two months, with plans to extend to 100 cities by next year. Ola Cars, as a digital-first platform, provides a far better ownership experience than buying a new car, with features such as a doorstep test drive and a 7-day no-questions-asked return policy.
Arun Sirdeshmukh, CEO of Ola Automobiles, claimed the business sold over 5,000 cars in its first full month of operation and plans to grow to 100 cities in the following months.
He also stated that the firm will hire 10,000 workers in crucial sectors such as sales and service centers.
Ola Cars is also establishing service centers around the country to give a significantly better experience using modern telematics, artificial intelligence, and other ways.
Ola aims to open up this platform to new cars from other automobile companies in the future, giving them a smooth, trusted platform with unparalleled reach and understanding of consumers and their mobility demands.
