Ashoka health-focused accelerator invites applications

Network for social entrepreneurship, the accelerator program Making More Health, co-founded by Ashoka and the pharmaceutical giant Boehringer Ingelheim, is now accepting applicants (MMH).

Ashoka discovers and supports the world’s most innovative social entrepreneurs, learns from their patterns, and mobilizes a worldwide community to embrace these new frameworks in order to create an “everyone a changemaker society.”

The MMH accelerator, which is now in its fourth year, is a two-phased organized company growth program. Phase one, dubbed the “Pilot Phase,” lasts 12 months and entails co-creation and pilot execution of a high-impact strategic project or effort to help participating firms develop, influence, and maintain themselves. It is backed by EUR 50,000 (US $56,000) in funding.

The second phase, known as the “Scale-up Phase,” lasts 12 months and comes after the pilot phase’s successful completion. Businesses that progress to the scale-up phase receive further funding of between EUR100,000 and EUR120,000 (US4136,000).

A crucial component of both phases of the program is co-creation, which involves hand-in-hand collaboration between social entrepreneurs and Boehringer Ingelheim workers who give their time and skills to the pilot and scale-up initiatives.

On the 31st of January, applications will conclude.
