Envision Digital’s $210 M financing backed by Sequoia China, GIC
Envision Digital, a greentech company located in Singapore, has secured $210 million in a series A fundraising round headed by Sequoia China, with participation from Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC.
The funds will be utilised to expand globally, conduct research and development, and investigate new strategic collaborations. It will also be utilised to help the corporation achieve its net-zero carbon targets faster.
Envision Digital, which was founded in 2014, is best known for its AI operating system, EnOS, which helps businesses manage renewable energy generation and coordinate smart usage throughout their operations, lowering their overall carbon footprint. EnOS is responsible for the management of approximately 200 million smart devices and 400 gigawatts of energy assets throughout the world.
The Envision Net Zero Technology Partnership initiative, which is operated by the corporation, attempts to unite big enterprises and organisations around verifiable progress in reducing carbon emissions.
Sequoia China’s founding and managing partner, Neil Shen, said the investment was in keeping with the firm’s aim of supporting the global race to net-zero carbon emissions.
Envision Digital recently teamed together with solar developer Lightsource bp and global consultant firm Mott MacDonald to help the Greentech company achieve its own net-zero targets.
