IFC, Viva Tech AfricaTech Awards invite applications

The second iteration of the AfricaTech Awards, an effort to highlight African-focused businesses with ground-breaking solutions tackling critical development concerns related to climate change, healthcare, and financial inclusion, has been announced by IFC and Viva Technologies.

The 2023 AfricaTech Awards are a component of IFC’s plan to boost digital ecosystems in developing nations by giving companies access to the resources, networks, and market knowledge they need to grow.

The top 15 startups in each sector area will be narrowed down with assistance from knowledge partner Deloitte. The top three startups in each category will be invited to attend Viva Technology in Paris, France, in June after a second round of review by the awards judging panel, where they will present their cutting-edge solutions to an international audience of investors, policymakers, and top tech executives.

Entrepreneurs are encouraged to submit applications for the prizes in the three categories of climate technology, fintech, and health technology by March 12 on the awards website.
