Iron Pillar led $6 M funding secured by healthtech startup Fold Health

A funding round led by Iron Pillar has awarded healthtech startup Fold Health $6 million. Additionally taking part in the round were Drs. Rushika Fernandopulle, Christine Cassel, Molly Coye, Sridhar Krishnan, and Anurag Jain.

The total amount of funding for Fold Health is now $12 million. According to a press release from Fold Health, the new funds will be used to expand the company and hire staff.

Abhijeet Gupta and Ram Sahasranam founded Fold Health in 2021 as a joint venture. It is an end-to-end healthcare provider solution that integrates with electronic health records and lets users use software tools to automate tasks. To close care gaps, manage transitional care, complete annual wellness visits, engage high-risk patients and protect and grow attribution, among other tasks required by value-based providers, Fold Health claims that its features include a workflow engine.

The startup just opened a 40-person research and development facility in Pune, and it plans to quickly increase the number of staff members at its US office, which currently has nine workers.

Within the next 12 months, Fold Health wants to grow ten times. SaaS healthtech startup HealthPlix raised $22 million in its Series C funding round, and healthtech startup HealthifyMe recently raised $30 million in its pre-Series D round.
