Holiday Tribe raised Rs 5.4 Cr Seed funding from Powerhouse Ventures, GSF

Holiday Tribe, a travel-tech startup, has raised Rs 5.4 crore in its seed round, which was led by Powerhouse Ventures and GSF. Notable investors that contributed included actor Gaurav Kapur, BharatMatrimony.com’s Murugavel Janakiraman, and India Mart’s Dinesh Agarwal and Gulati.

The money raised will be put toward expanding the brand’s supply chain, technological prowess, and marketing campaigns.

Established in 2023 by Anshu Sharma and Chirag Goyal, former executives of MakeMyTrip, Holiday Tribe provides personalised vacation experiences in various locations, appealing to families, friends, honeymooners, adventure seekers, and individuals seeking to discover undiscovered or novel destinations.

The startup, headquartered in Gurugram, states that it has partnerships with over ten tourism boards, including those in Mauritius, Dubai, Switzerland, Qatar, Thailand, Singapore, and Australia, and boasts a global supply network of over 100,000 hotels.

The company offers a wide range of customizable vacation packages to over 30 global destinations.

India’s outbound tourism market is anticipated to reach $18.81 billion in 2024 and grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.4% in the ten years between 2024 and 2034 to reach roughly $55.38 billion, according to a FICCI-Nangia knowledge paper. Similar to this, it is anticipated that India’s online travel market will expand from $17.24 billion to $28.40 billion between 2024 and 2029 at a CAGR of 10.5%.
