Construction robotics startup Flo Mobility raises $2.5 M Pre-series A funding

In a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Mela Ventures and Arali Ventures, Bengaluru-based construction robotics startup Flo Mobility raised $2.5 million.

The money raised will be used to expand deployments throughout India, bolster its AI and autonomy stack, scale manufacturing, and penetrate foreign markets, especially the Middle East.

Manesh Jain and Pratik Patel founded Flo Mobility in 2021 to develop robotics and physical AI solutions for the building industry. The startup creates self-governing robots that are intended to move materials and perform various construction tasks on sizable project sites.

Flo Hauler, the company’s flagship product, is an autonomous mobile robot that runs on batteries and can move loads up to 1.5 tonnes throughout construction sites, including multi-floor operations.

The robot is built to function in unstructured settings with shifting layouts and inclement weather.

With developers including L&T, Godrej Properties, Embassy Group, Sobha, and Capacite Infra, Flo Mobility says it has deployed over sixty robots in ten Indian states. Clients have reported 67% fewer accidents, 50% faster material movement, and nearly 45% cost savings, according to the company.
