$80 M India Innovation Fund II launched by Aum Ventures

With a target corpus of Rs 750 crore (about $80 million), Aum Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on deep-tech and IP-led innovation, has announced its second fund, Aum Ventures-India Innovation Fund II.

The fund would support Indian entrepreneurs creating innovative, IP-driven businesses that might compete on a global scale.

With initial check sizes ranging from $750,000 to $2 million, the new fund will mainly invest in pre-seed and seed-stage firms before providing follow-on funding up to the Series A/B stages. It is anticipated that Fund II will assist roughly 25–30 portfolio companies over its lifetime.

Since its founding in 2022, Aum Ventures has invested over $30 million in 24 early-stage businesses, including Skyroot Aerospace, Cosmoserve Space, Sanyark Space, Azimuth AI, and Sharang Shakti, which was recently purchased by Deepinder Goyal’s LAT Aerospace.

Additionally, Nisha Shah has been appointed as a General Partner for Fund II by the firm. Shah has had executive positions in a sizable family business and has held jobs with consulting firms, venture capital firms, and private equity firms.

Founded by Indian entrepreneurs, Aum Ventures is an early-stage investment business that specializes in deeptech and IP-led startups. Space technology, semiconductors, sophisticated manufacturing, defense technology, and artificial intelligence are among its investment sectors.
