SA circular fashion startup Kloset Klub raises Seed funding to support growth

The rapidly expanding circular fashion platform Kloset Klub in South Africa has raised a round of seed money to support its growth.
Phumi Münber founded Kloset Klub, which uses peer-to-peer shopping, managed closet services, and curated resale to assist people in buying and selling high-quality used apparel. The portal gives customers access to high-end pre-owned clothing at more affordable costs while assisting sellers in extracting value from their wardrobes.
Thinkroom, an African entrepreneurship and innovation firm, and co-investor Frank Smit have now contributed an unknown sum of seed money to the startup.
“This investment is more than just capital, it’s a vote of confidence in the journey we’ve been on,” said Körber. “Building a business is never linear, and having partners like Thinkroom and Frank, who understand that reality, makes a huge difference. We’re excited to keep building something that not only looks good, but does good too.”
“We’ve watched Phumi build Kloset Klub through real challenges, real pivots, requiring real grit,” said Catherine Young, founder of Thinkroom. “Phumi’s resilience and her approach to building a business stood out early on. We are incredibly proud to be writing the first cheque into Kloset Klub and to support Phumi as she scales.”
