Adam wa Mishmish secures USD 475K in Seed fund round
Adam wa Mishmish – a Jordan-based Arabic language Edtech startup, has closed a $475K Seed funding round, led by KSA-based Hadi Badi, with participation from other Angel investors in Jordan. Included in this round is $50K as a fund from the Shoman foundation, based in Jordan after winning an innovation award.
Adam Wa Mishmish started in 2016 when Luma Aladnani, CEO and founder, was frustrated with the quality of Arabic content available for their son, Adam, to learn Arabic. As musicians, she and her husband, Ibrahim Taha, founder and composer of Adam Wa Mishmish, decided to create the content themselves. They also recruited fellow co-founders Lina Aladnani, and Lutfi Zayed to be the main voice of the project and Art Director respectively. Their goal is to make learning Arabic fun and accessible using music as their main medium.
Luma Aladnani, CEO and founder, commented “We’re so excited and proud to have this support. Adam wa mishmish has become an international brand, and with this fund, we’ll be able to release our curriculum through our application and onboard hundreds of teachers all over the world.”
