AI-powered educational technology Sprints raised $3 M Bridge funding

EdVentures and CFYE are among the investors in Sprints.ai, an AI-powered educational technology that is redefining education for the future. The company has announced the completion of a $3 million bridge fundraising round.

Sprints is the first end-to-end platform that bridges the tech talent gap, offering talent assessment, personalized learning journeys, and a top-paying job guarantee. It was co-founded by Ayman Bazaraa and Bassam Sharkawy. Being the first EdTech company in MEA to offer guaranteed hiring programs, Sprints lets graduates pay only after they are hired successfully over a period of three years. Sprints was established in 2020 and has since placed graduates in over 300 tech companies worldwide, delivering over 2.5 million learning hours.

With a 10-year goal of teaching one billion students, Sprints provides top-notch, agile-based learning experiences that enable businesses to develop elite technical teams in all fields, including but not restricted to AI, data science, mobile, web, IoT, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Sprints is fostering a generation of digitally savvy citizens who will be well-positioned to succeed in the workforce of the future by supporting important economic and social causes.

Ayman Bazaraa, CEO of Sprints, shares the company’s heartfelt excitement: “Our team is the beating heart of this success. We’re a proud force of passionate trailblazers, consisting of over 100 employees and 300 trainers from 12 countries, united by a single mission: to revolutionise education through AI. This investment is a resounding validation of the team’s tireless efforts and unwavering dedication. Today, I stand proud of what we’ve collectively accomplished and am brimming with anticipation for the future we will pave together.”

Commenting on the successful closure of the bridge round, Yehia Abouelwafa, co-founder and chief investment officer at DisrupTech Ventures, stated: “We are proud of Sprints for decoding the growth dilemma with their all-in-one tech talent platform, which seamlessly integrates talent assessment, hiring, payroll, and upskilling to empower companies and governments alike to build world-class teams more efficiently than ever. We are firm believers in Sprints’ mission, and will continue leveraging our 70 years of combined know-how to unleash the potential of regional talent to develop the necessary caliber for digital economies.”

With a 4.8 program rating on average, Sprints has successfully completed over 52,000 learning experiences. It has collaborated with important UN agencies, the governments of Egypt, the KSA, the UAE, the Netherlands, Germany, and the US, among others, to implement national programs that are centered on the hiring and development of tech talent. Furthermore, Holon IQ, GSV, and Africa’s Business Heroes recognized Sprints internationally.

By expanding into ten new markets, Sprints is increasing its influence on the tech talent landscape and solidifying its growth trajectory with this strategic bridge round. As they aim to provide more than 200,000 learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the face of tomorrow’s tech-workforce challenges, Sprints’ geographic expansion will not only close the regional talent gap but also establish MEA as a regional talent hub.
