Astrology startup Vaya raised $1.5 M from angel investors

The astrology startup Vaya, based in Delhi, has raised $1.5 million from angel investors Sarthak Mishra of SoftBank India and Sumer Juneja, as well as from Accel, Arkam Ventures, and Weekend Fund.
Maahin Puri and Nitesh Kumar Niranjan founded Vaya in 2025. It uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze astrological data, freeing up astrologers to concentrate on providing insights rather than doing calculations.
Targeting the mass-premium market, the money will be utilized to expand its workforce, improve its AI skills, and create a network of Vedic astrology specialists.
At the moment, the platform uses a pay-per-minute business model and employs eleven in-house astrologers. Time bundles range from five to forty minutes.
With 30,000–40,000 users since its launch two months ago, Vaya is primarily used in major cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai. Additionally, the startup wants to reach Indian non-residents in markets like the US and Canada.
Astrotalk, one of its main rivals, raised $14 million in June of last year. InstaAstro, GaneshaSpeaks, Click Astro, Astroyogi, and Bodhi are some of its rivals.
