Audio giant Bose contributes to Noise’s first funding round
Global audio behemoth Bose has provided initial funding to wearables and gadgets company Noise. The startup from Gurugram was entirely self-funded until this Series A round.
Noise did not reveal how much money it took in from Bose.
“This isn’t just about funding; it’s about synergy: two tech giants, united by a passion for innovation, coming together to reimagine the future of smart wearables,” said Noise co-founder Amit Khatri in a LinkedIn post.
Noise uses its own website and e-commerce platforms to sell about 35 SKUs, which include wireless speakers, smartwatches, and earphones.
With a 13.5% market share, Noise was the second-best wearables brand, according to International Data Corporation (IDC). In the first half of 2023, it took back the top spot in the smartwatch market with a 27.6% share.
The company’s revenue increased from Rs 793 crore in FY22 to Rs 1,426 crore in FY23, a 79.8% growth. It is in direct competition with boAt, which held the top spot in India’s wearable market with a 26.6% market share in the first half of 2023.
