BMCE Capital Investments makes $500K equity investment in PTS
A conditional agreement has been signed by BMCE Capital Investments, the private equity division of the BMCE Capital Group, to purchase a portion of Premium Technology & Services (PTS), a Moroccan startup that specializes in digital payment solutions. The group’s Capital Venture Fund made the investment, which is pending Morocco’s Competition Council’s approval. Five million dirhams are anticipated to be invested in PTS as a result of the deal, propelling its expansion both domestically and globally.
PTS was founded in 2020 by three seasoned businesspeople with a range of specialties, and it has rapidly become a leader in payment technology. The startup is focused on cutting-edge solutions that aim to transform payment services. Its products, which are suited to the changing requirements of banks and companies, include sophisticated tools for digitizing conventional banking cards.
Major Moroccan banks, such as Bank of Africa, have already partnered with PTS, demonstrating the dependability and applicability of its offerings. As it pursues global expansion, PTS is well-positioned to fortify its market position and quicken its path to becoming a leader in Morocco’s digital payment industry with this fresh financial and strategic backing from BMCE Capital Investments.
In line with the rising demand for digital payment solutions in a world going cashless, the funding is anticipated to allow PTS to expand its operations and innovate further. PTS has the potential to influence the direction of fintech in Morocco and beyond, as demonstrated by BMCE Capital Investments’ dedication.
