Bridge funding raised by Egyptian petcare-at-home startup Vetwork

Pet-care-at-home platform in Egypt Vetwork has received a round of bridging investment to help it grow.

Vetwork, which was founded by Fady Azzouny and Adam Hafez, links pet owners with “vetted” petcare service providers in a quick and convenient manner.

Vetwork has over 400 service providers on its platform, so pet owners can find groomers, doctors, dog walkers, dog trainers, and boarding facilities all in one spot.

Members of the Alexandria Angel Network, Saudi Arabian angel investors, and Nestlé Purina contributed to the startup’s bridge round, with the latter also performing a proof of concept (POC) with Vetwork.

“We’re so proud of what we have achieved so far, who else has been innovating in the pet care industry in MENA? Vetwork has paved the way for many entrepreneurs looking to pursue opportunities in our industry. Now, plans are in place and resources in terms of an amazing team, cash and partnerships are available, the coming phase for us in Vetwork is extremely exciting, stay tuned,” said Azzouny.
