With participation from CIIE (IIMA Ventures), Foundation Botnar, 9 Unicorns, Venture Catalysts, and Insitor Impact Asia Fund II, Butterfly Learnings, a platform for paediatric behavioral and developmental health, has raised Rs 32 crore in its Series A round.

The Mumbai-based startup had raised $2 million from Insitor Partners, 9 Unicorns, Venture Catalysts, and other investors during its seed funding round earlier in 2022.

With plans to scale its tech-enabled therapy programs, Butterfly Learnings will use the new funds to support its expansion efforts.

Butterfly Learnings, founded by Sonam Kothari, is a phygital platform that provides customized support to kids and families dealing with neurodiversity-related issues. It operates in cities like Pune, Nagpur, and Nasik and employs more than 250 in-house trained therapists.

The main features of the platform are customized treatment plans built around applied behavior analysis (ABA), consultations with knowledgeable pediatric neurologists or developmental pediatricians, and extra therapies like sensory integration, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and occupational placement therapy.

With 30 centers in Maharashtra, the company currently serves about 2,000 families. With a 200-center network, it hopes to expand its reach throughout several Indian states and cities.
