‘Call to Adventure’, a programme launched to help kickstart businesses
‘Call to Adventure’ a program was launched on 10th November in order to support industry executives and entrepreneurs to launch their startups in the FinTech space. The program has been launched by industry veterans Amrish Rau, Jitendra Gupta, and Sweta Rau of White Venture Capital with the focus being the ‘FinTech industry’. White Venture Capital will provide entrepreneurs access to mentors, help build a network to start their journey, and make an equity investment of $500,000.
White Venture Capital was founded by Pine Labs-Chief Amrish Rau, his wife Sweta Rau, and Jitendra Gupta Founder of Neobank Jupiter. The couple is known as an angel investor and has funded more than 100 companies to date which includes FinTech companies such as M2P FinTech, Cred, Open, DotPe, Khatabook, etc. All these companies have turned out to be profitable in the long run.
They launched White Venture Capital in the month of January 2022 with an initial investment of $40 million to back FinTech startups in the early stages in India and Southeast Asia. The company has made about 12 investments since its launch which is about $4.9 million. White Venture Capital has retained 20 to 30% of funds for non-FinTech companies across SaaS and the rest for tech companies. The company is focusing to achieve 9 investments by 2023 and will continue to fund companies in the range of $500,000 to $1 million. “When you have that burning desire to build a startup, all that you require is someone to show the path,” said Amrish Rau.
