Cleantech startup Exposome raised Rs 10 Cr Pre-series A funding from Colossa Ventures

The women-focused venture capital firm Colossa Ventures led the pre-Series A round of funding for the clean-tech startup Exposome, which raised Rs 10 crore. Along with previous investors Rahul Rathi, Bhukhanvala Holdings, Excel Industries, and Spectrum Impact, 3i Partners also participated in the round.

According to a press release from Exposome, the additional funding will be used to grow the company’s operations, reach new markets, and provide clients in India and a few other countries with significant environmental solutions.

Exposome, founded in 2020 by Prerna Goradia, develops cost-effective and environmentally friendly methods of treating wastewater and capturing air emissions. Its unique molecular filters include advanced filter materials that are reusable, long-lasting, and customizable, as well as a patented regenerative process. By separating impurities and releasing purer air and water, the filters help businesses adhere to regulations like Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) standards.

The Mumbai-based company claims to have introduced PurCODe, a next-generation regenerable media for treating wastewater effluents, and Pur-safe, an advanced molecular air filtration media for reducing air pollution. These are plug-and-play, reasonably priced solutions that can be used in a variety of industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, paint, oil, cement, thermal power, textile, and leather industries.

Exposome says it has installed more than 1,000 filters and worked with more than 25 clients.
