Comic Con India acquired by NODWIN Gaming
Comic Con India, which organizes several pop culture festivals aimed at young people in India, was purchased by NODWIN Gaming.
Through a combination of cash and share swaps, NODWIN Gaming will acquire 100% of Comic Con India’s shares at a valuation of Rs 55 crore from the company’s co-founders, Karan Kalra and Jatin Varma.
The company will still be run by both co-founders as a division of NODWIN Gaming.
PUBG Mobile developer Krafton gave Rs 164 crore to Nodwin Gaming in March 2021.
Through this acquisition, the Comic Con India management team will exchange Rs 27.5 crores of their Comicon India shares for NODWIN Gaming shares, making them shareholders in NODWIN Gaming as well.
Comic Con India, which was founded by Jatin Varma and Akshat Rathee, has grown into a company that organizes festivals all over India to celebrate a variety of popular culture elements, such as comic books, cosplay, movies, TV shows, merchandise, gaming, and more. The festivals take place in places like Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bengaluru.
For fans of pop culture, comic books, and gaming, the addition of Comic Con India to NODWIN Gaming is expected to create a new and exclusive platform. The objective is to increase the number of festivals and broaden their audience to include more cities in India and abroad.
