D2C dairy startup Sid’s Farm raised $10 M Series A funding from Omnivore, NSFO

Sid’s Farm, a direct-to-consumer dairy brand, has secured $10 million in Series A funding led by Omnivore and the Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office (NSFO).

With the help of its clients’ recommendations, it was able to raise $1 million in a bridge round in January of last year.

By expanding its manufacturing capacity and hiring personnel in important departments, Sid’s Farm intends to use the money raised to bolster its position in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Established in 2016, Sid’s Farm is a premium mass dairy brand based in Hyderabad that caters to over 25,000 customers in two cities.

The startup claims that by purchasing directly from farmers and carrying out quality testing at every stage of production, it has complete control over the value chain of milk and milk products.

Sid’s Farm is a competitor of Country Delight and Akshayakalpa Organic, which raised $29 million this year in two tranches for Country Delight and $12 million as part of a larger Series C round led by A91 Partners in January. Country Delight began operations with whole buffalo and cow milk, and it gradually diversified into curd, paneer, ghee, butter, dairy beverages, and dairy-based desserts.
