Deep-tech hardware startup ThinkMetal received $300K Pre-seed funding from 100X.VC

SAT Industries, KRS Jamwal, and Uday Sodhi contributed to a $300,000 pre-seed funding round led by 100X.VC for the deep-tech hardware startup ThinkMetal.

According to a press release from ThinkMetal, the company intends to use the money to improve its small metal 3D printer and revolutionize the production of metal parts.

Innovating 3D printing to print metals and functionally graded materials (FGM), ThinkMetal was founded in 2021 by Sabyasachi Ghosh and Arushi Sharma as a joint venture. They are also creating an ecosystem for end-to-end 3D printing solutions.

The Chennai-based company claims that it eliminates the inconveniences of time-consuming procedures, pricey 3D metal printers, slow and bulky print failures, and increased costs.

IIT Kanpur-based Objectify Technologies, Bengaluru-based Pandorum Technologies, Gaags Technologies, Fracktal Works, Altem Technologies, and others are significant players in the 3D printing industry.

100X.VC revealed in June that it had invested in 22 startups as part of Class 09. AbCoffee, Airbook, Bansiwala, BreatheESG, and Rannkly are a few of the noteworthy startups in Class 09, among others.
