DELOS raised additional $8 M in seed fundraising round headed by MDI-Centauri KB’s Fund, Alpha JWC Ventures
DELOS, an Indonesian aquaculture business, has received an additional $8 million in early capital.
Existing investors Number Capital, Arise, iSeed SEA, Irvan Kolonas, as well as Alto Partners Multi-Family Office, Mahanusa Capital, Kopi Kenangan founder James Prananto, and a number of strategic follow-on investors, are co-led by Centauri (a collaborative fund between MDI Ventures and KB Investment) and Alpha JWC Ventures (a leading Southeast Asian VC fund).
DELOS, founded in 2021 by Guntur Mallarangeng, Bobby Indra Gunawan, Alexander Farthing, and Aristya Noerhadi, wants to help the Indonesian aquaculture sector thrive and modernise. DELOS creates data-driven solutions for shrimp farmers’ day-to-day difficulties, and the business claims that early traction has demonstrated its usefulness in optimising farm operations and dramatically increasing output.
DELOS plans to utilise the cash to speed up the onboarding of its “huge” backlog of client farms, as well as continuing to create and scale its major products AquaHero, AquaLink, and AquaBank, to help Indonesian aquaculture grow faster.
