Drone startup BonV Aero raised Rs 6 Cr from IPV
Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) led a fundraising round that brought in Rs 6 crore for the aerial logistics drone startup BonV Aero.
The money, according to BonV Aero, will go toward internal R&D aimed at improving products for customers, investigating propulsion systems, and developing power plants, as well as client demonstrations and team growth.
Before this, in December 2022, the Bengaluru-based startup raised an undisclosed sum in a seed round from Headstart Investor Circle.
Established by Satyabrata Satapathy, BonV Aero specializes in cutting-edge aerial vehicles designed for difficult terrains such as the Himalayas. The company offers aerial vehicles for both goods and passenger transportation. It focuses on supply chain logistics, emergency medical services, disaster relief, Indian defense logistics, and quick commerce deliveries.
According to BonV Aero, it is unique in that it developed India’s first logistic aerial vehicle, which can support commercial orders and transport 50 kg over ten kilometers at 10,000 feet in hilly terrain.
Its internal propulsion system makes it a dependable option for difficult circumstances by ensuring effective flights in bad weather and at high altitudes.
BonV Aero is currently working with the Indian Army on product trials, which represents the beginning of an operational phase.
