E-commerce enabler PT Digital Distribusi Indonesia to be acquired by AnyMind Group

An e-commerce enabler and distributor based in Indonesia named PT Digital Distribusi Indonesia (DDI) has agreed to sell all of its issued shares to Singapore-based AnyMind Group, according to an announcement made on Friday.

AnyMind said in a statement that DDI will become a fully-owned subsidiary of AnyMind as a result of the acquisition.

This is AnyMind’s first agreement to acquire a company in Indonesia and the company’s first acquisition since its listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market on March 29.

The company hopes to establish the foundation for accelerating expansion into the Asian e-commerce market through this acquisition and the combination of the capabilities of the two companies, AnyMind with its technology for end-to-end commerce and global partner networks and DDI with its local e-commerce operations team and customer network in Indonesia.

“We recognized the market potential of Indonesia and made it one of the first few markets we expanded into,

“Over the years, we have built up business momentum in Indonesia through our marketing business line and the acquisition of DDI provides us with another strong leader and additional boost into the e-commerce space here,” said Kosuke Sogo, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of AnyMind.

Tatum Kembara, an entrepreneur and the company’s CEO, established DDI in 2019.

Prior to founding DDI, Kembara held corporate and analyst positions at businesses like Sale Stock and A.T. Kearney. She was also vice president of business growth (Bliblimart) at the Indonesian e-commerce site Blibli.

Before graduating from Harvard University, Kembara spent her first six years of employment in the distribution of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).

With a focus on consumer goods brands, DDI offers a variety of services to businesses in Indonesia along the entire value chain of e-commerce.

This includes creating an e-commerce strategy, managing a warehouse and logistics, automating store operations, using mobile marketing, and more.
